Physical Editions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II can be pre-ordered for PlayStation and Xbox consoles. All Physical Editions on consoles include Early Access to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Open Beta* when pre-ordered at participating retailers.

However, if you pre-ordered the game digitally on the Xbox or PlayStation digital stores, or on Battle or Steam on PC, you can get access to the Campaign early. You can already pre-load the Campaign just now (it should already be in your game library), so you can start playing as soon as it goes live.

Basically, here's how it works: Consoles will launch beginning at 4am PT - 9pm PT on October 27th, beginning with regions West of the United States (so New Zealand etc.) Xbox, PlayStation and PC in the United States will all go live at 9pm PT on the 27th, which translates to midnight ET on the 28th.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 full game access is scheduled to release on October 28, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
