A no-contest decision in the UFC can be confusing, but it serves a crucial purpose within the sport's framework. It signifies that neither of the fighters can be declared the victor, a concept that may initially seem unjust.

A no contest  is a common term in combat sports. In the UFC, a no contest is ruled when there is no winner or loser determined. Usually, this will happen when the fight is stopped early due to a foul, or if there was an earthquake and everyone had to evacuate the building it would be a no contest.
