Overall, this is a shallow remake of a bad, low budget horror film from 2002. If you've never seen Cabin Fever but plan on watching it, I'd go with the original, as it is the better of the two.

The 2002 film was already stuffed with heavy gore, so it's not like updating a 1960s film about a flesh-eating virus, for example. No no, the reason for this remake is because the director came up to Eli Roth and said, I would like to remake Cabin Fever using the exact same script. That's it.
