The premium Vault Edition of Modern Warfare 3 comes with a number of unlocks and perks. This includes a battle pass, COD Points (in-game currency), and tier skips as part of the Blackcell  bundle.

I've gone through all the campaigns and they are all pretty self-contained. You don't have to worry about previous storylines to get through this one. You don't need to play the earlier ones.
